They all have hydraulic elevators installed for convenience and handicapped. On his newest project he is wondering what manufacutre of elevator to use in it. On the last one he paid a ton of money for an Otis elevator and it's constantly having problems. He has 2 others that have the Schindler 330A elevators. So far they've only needed the regular maintenance and alway? They also always pass state inspection. The Otis one is noisy and rough. Should he just stick with Schindler?
He's noticed the Schindler starts off very smothly and the otis jerks.

Thanks from Mike, Kevin's uncle.

Otis has long been the top of the line in elevator manufacturers. I'm guessing that the Otis you have wasn't installed correctly - the jerkiness and ongoing problems usually come from misaligned pulleys and guides.

It should be under warranty. Make Otis reinstall it properly.

Stick with what is working now. Also why not go tour someother buildings for rent and sell and check out their elevators?
