It went from a prime schedule spot, to a terrible spot, to the internet. Was it the show, the people, or just the game itself that failed to keep peoples interest?

I think the show could have made it, but at one point, it was all one sided. After that idiot with the yellow dreds was captain, I wanted to go on the show and throw him overboard.

The teams should not have lived together on one ship.

I think it was the people and the fact that it aired during the summer. I watched the show until it was cancelled because I liked the plot of the show however the "pirates" weren't very interesting. I don't think it helped the show any that it was airing in the summer. A lot of people watch prime time tv in the winter as they can stay in side and be cozy. In the summer most people are out at the beach, on vacation (traveling), and doing many other activities that do not leave time to watch tv.

Simply stated, it sucked . I tried to watch it but it was just like Survivor on a boat with people dressed like pirates wearing eye makeup. That was a big turn off right there.
I would of much rather seen Rock Star all summer which they canceled to put on Pirate Master. Rock Star was a better summer show and I think a lot of people were pissed off they canceled it for the Pirates so CBS lost a lot of viewers they would of normally had in the summer.

I think there were just too many reality shows at one time during the week...it's hard to watch so many unless you have a satellite system and a PVR so you can record them at various times. I always ended up recording Pirates and watching the next night or the next.

I thnk the game was too hard for some folks to follow. A quick repurposing of Survivor meant to cash in on the summer of Pirates of The Carribean 3, I think it suffered from lack of development and a failure to cast likeable folks you could root for.

Because it was stupid. We watched it but I really didn't care about who won....that long haired guy was a real creep and there was no getting rid of him it seemed.
