3:47:14 PM
military times adds 12 hours starting at 1:00 pm
midnight is 24:00 hours
so instead of PM, add 12 to the hours (except between 12:00 non and 12:59 pm, stays as is)

If it is in military time, just subtract 12:00:00 from it, giving you 3:47:14, meaning 47 minutes and 14 seconds after 3 p.m.
