I really like Shari's answer.

And I am afraid of losing my health, sight, hearing, mobility, memory, etc. But if you have your health and you have planned for your future, you can enjoy it. I guess the most important things to have when you are old are health, enough money to have a little fun, good relationships with friends, family. Things you can build up while you are young.

I also don't want to be "stuck in my ways." Where nothing new is ever ventured, you tell the same stories over and over, wear the same clothes and eat the same food, etc every single day... My husband and I say if we become like that we will tell each other.

Kinda. It's rough getting old. You have to be a strong person to make it through. And I'm not talking physically, I'm talking mentally. Like, my mother in laws last sibling just died. She is the last to survive of 10 children. To see every one of her siblings and parents die, along with various other family members, you have to be strong to stay mentally stable. Then there's the getting sick part. Like my Mother, who just passed away Aug. 1, 2007. Just this month. She had Alzheimer's for the last 10 years. It was a very sad situation. But, she did beat cancer 3 times! But the Alzheimer's won. And, I'm kinda forgetful, so, I freak out every now and then thinking I'm gonna wind up with Alzheimer's also. But, whatever is meant to be, will be. So yeah, I'm kinda afraid.

Yes,but not of old age per see, because I realize I only have one life to live. I've missed out on so much on life because I'm such an innocent nice guy whom no one happens to have fun and hang out with me.I'm no good for people. Life is unfair. I ought to not to exist.

Nah. I'll pretty much die in middle age, but I'm not afraid of aging, wrinkles, the works. I actually laugh when people get extra botox injections, the breast and butt lifts, anything to stay young. They just peel back the skin and it looks friggin' weird.

I wish everybody could see that there is a beauty in growing old and being able to look back at your life and seeing how far you've come.

I would like to stay young, you have your health, you look good, you can be immature. Getting old sucks.

Everyone "HAS" to do it, why be afraid. Same with death. No way around it so accept the fact and Let it go.
