Wear comfortable clothes (don't wear the shirt of the band you're seeing - that's geeky.) and comfortable shoes.
Standing tickets mean just that - you're going to be on your feet the whole night.

Bring your ticket, an ID if you have one (like your school id) just in case, and some cash.

You can not bring in a backpack or anything like that. No outside food or drink. No camera or any recording devices. Try to keep anything you bring to a minimum - less hassle that way. If it can't fit in your pocket, you don't need it.

Avoid the mosh pits - usually standing near the side is best for that. If you're up front, it's a guarantee you're going to get smooshed. I once had three ribs broken at a show in the 90s from getting crushed against the barrier.

Just enjoy the music.

If you want to buy merch (t-shirts or anything) - wait until the end of the show. Especially near the end of the tour, the merch people don't want to count the stuff, they'd rather sell it, so sometimes they reduce the prices, otherwise, ask them - if the shirt is $25, offer 'em $20. Most likely, they'll take it. (Unless the boss - the tour manager or the tour manager's equal - is around, then they can't.)

Don't ask anyone (especially those wearing a SECURITY jacket or shirt or someone on the road crew) if they can get you backstage. They can't. Some like to think they have power, and take advantage of it, but in the end, you end up the loser.

i'm going to see this concert too on a different date =D should be really fun =) Standing concert tickets mean that you dont have a seat, you're in the mosh pit. So i suggest that you wear very comfortable shoes because you will be standing a LONG time. I also think you should probobly come to the venue VERY early, so you are standing closer to the front. You're not supposed to bring camera's or video cameras or anything, technincally, but I'd buy a cheap little disposable one and hide it down your shirt or somewhere guards cant look so you can take pictures. once your in the place and the show's started, they MIGHT take it away, but since it's cheap it wont be a big loss, right? Dont dress too skanky because guys will probobly grab you. I dont really know how you would avoid not getting punched out =/ Just dont punch or shove anyone else i guess =) Have fun and dance and sing alot =) Oh, dont bring anything really valuable, cuz it might get stolen. You are alowed cell phones, and like the guy above me said: Dont try and break past the security! lol. If theres anything else i can think of i'll add it =)

Everybody has given you pretty good advice, As somone who has gone to concerts since 1973 I would add ... Drink plenty of water, Talk to security inside where you are and ask them if there will be signals you can give if you need help, be nice to the people around you but don't be a victim, meaning if a guy gets out of line with you make sure others are aware of it by yelling or what ever, Last thing , don't give a rats a#$ about what others may think of you..you may be there with everybody but each individual is having their own experience so hopefully you will too , I am kind of surprised that nobody said always keep a friend with you..Have a blast!!!

normally if ur going to a show wear a band tshirt of one of the bands that are playing that night wear comfy shoes. def bring a camera!!!!!!! do not go near the mosh pits u can get hurt!!!! trust me on that one... the biggest NO,NO AT A SHOW IS: NEVER PUT WHAT U JUST BOUGHT A THE MERCH STAND ON ONCE U BUY IT!!! bring anything that wont be called a weapon!!! do not bring a purse!!!! since ur on standing that means u are going to be on the floor no seats!!!!!! and it gets in the way, how not to get punched out.... hmmm dont cram close to people and dig ur elbow into thier side or arm! (ive almost got punched out by someone for that) ummm anything else.....
have fun enjoy the show, take tons of pics, be prepared to be squished.... wear tons of deoderant!!! get there atleast 3 to 5 hrs early if u want a spot in the crowd, when people walk out of the crowd to go to the bathroom or something like that instantly as soon as they pass u MOVE UP!!! fill in the hole and get closer to the stage!!!! dont be afraid to socialize with people!!!! i always meet tons of people at shows in between bands in the crowd! and its really fun when u kinda know some people in the crowd!!! watch out for crowd surfers!!! (unless its one of the guys in one of the bands) those kill if u cant hold them up!!!! have some money so u can get a tour shirt and merch!!! thats a must have!!! get a tour shirt to show that uve been to that show!!! ummm... sing along to all the songs u know!!! if one of the bands is doing a signing after their set be prepared to lose ur spot in the crowd and miss the next band!!!! if u have a close or good spot in the crowd dont give it up to meet a band unless its FOB! a good spot in the crowd would be about the front half of the standing section!!!! be prepared to stand on ur toes and jump alot!!! and hope theirs not a really tall person in front of you... if u ask sometimes u can switch with them cuz they can see over you but u cant see over them!!!also if u cant bring a camera shove it down ur shirt or some place a secuquity guard cant get to it. it says on site that u can bring a camera so i wouldnt worry that much about the camera! FINALLY HAVE FUN!!!!

1 Wear what you normally wear
2 Do: Have fun... Don't: Get trampled
3 Whatever you normally carry in your purse/handbag
4 You probably won't be allowed to bring anything into MSG like recording devices.
5 $$$ to buy band merchandise
6 be aware of your surroundings
7 have a good time... that's what it's all about

ok, the bands 'Skillet' and 'kinfolk stress 5' have marvelous concert activities!!!! indoors or outdoors!! Skillet makes use of fireplace and sparks and etc (stuff like that) of their performances and that they use transforming into structures 2!! kinfolk stress 5's songs make u want to bop til u die!!! i'm oftentimes way close 2 the point (no longer on appropriate of it however) for the two bands. they sound marvelous, extra advantageous than they do on their cds. next wk i am going 2 their performances and that i cant wait!!!
