The Sonic in Wellington makes the best Sushi, but the chef is an Eskimo.

might have been a little hard on the chef. they may have been trained to be a great sushi chef and you would not even give them a chance. could have been the best sushi you will ever eat.

You wouldn't think you were eating authentic Sushi unless the chef was Japanese so I prob. would have left too.

ehh.... it's not wrong i guess. But unless the sushi place is like called 'sushi haha' or 'sushi boy' it probobly would've been safe, and taste just as good as if someone japanese had made it. but dont feel guilty about it. i probably would've done the same thing =)

Not wrong in a moral way, but a lot of great chefs out there are not from the nationality they specialise in with food. You should have tried it first, they could have surprised you

For all you know, the chef might have trained in Japan before. It's not unheard of. If it were me, I would have stayed.

All the same, hope you still had a good dinner.

Yes you may have missed out on some nice Sushi just because he's not japenese doesn't mean he doesn't know how to make it. But nevermind we all make mistakes.
