what does it mean when it is a yellowish color outside after a storm

I live in the midwest and strange color skies like yellow or greenish usually accompany a tornado producing front.

If I recall correctly, sulfur (sulphur) has a yellowish color, so maybe if there is some type of sulfurous gas produced during the storm, it could cause the air to take on a yellowish cast. I'm not sure, though -- this is just my educated guess! :)

After the storm clouds have passed, the sun shines through the rain and causes the sky to appear yellow.

I am not sure. We live in North Central Texas and when something like that occurs, we say "Well, looks like West Texas has blown in".
