It seems like everyone and their sister is carrying a Coach purse these days. I would think that would make them less desirable because why does everyone want to look the same? I'd rather buy five cute, colorful, different looking purses than one purse that doesn't go with everything. Do you think most of them out on the streets today are fake or real?

Ugh thank you! I think the same thing too. Personally they aren't that fashionable or cute, what do people see in them? My friend says that they last for a long time, but so do other cheaper ones..? I know a lot of teenagers with real ones that get them for presents so I guess most are real on the streets unless you go to New York, then most that people carry around are probably fake.

Well how it's descirbe it does sound like an actual coach purse, but since you got it for 25 I highly doubt it. With coach you need to make sure all the C's are going in the right direction and nothing is backwards or upside down. Also replicas can be made to look VERY realistic so just because there is a serial number does mean it's real. I've known many a girl who got cheated by a fake sereal number. Also a sure fire way to tell a fake from a real thing is the metal used. Coach would never use jankie metal it needs to be pristiene. But hey even if your friend did pick up a replica don't be discouraged I've seen some replicas that got for $100+. But just remember fleamarkets and auctions ALWAYS have replicas some are more blantant than others but if you want the real thing I wouldnt be buying from there. :) Happy shopping!

Most are fakes. Some ppl carry bags that look like coach and have a different symbol than "C". Personally, If you wanna find a real coach bag, got to the REAL Coach Store or to Coach.com. Some ppl think they are buying real Coach when they are buying fake ones. I have 10 coach bags and I got them all from the Coach store.

I know a good amount is fake. Funny story, my boyfriend bought me a red coach for x-mass, a few months later a teacher I work with(i run an after school program in the same school, make way less money) had the same bag in a different color, and she like o thanks its fake. I notice a lot of women carrying the same bag as me, the difference the bottom of mine is stain resitant swede and there's is fake leather. Also most fake coach bags C do go in the same direction as the real ones. I hate it because I have some expensive bags and they be taken as fake.

i think most of them are fake. u are right there are at least 100 girls at my school with coach purses. and i can spot a fake designer purse in a second. but these girls have the most fake looking coach bags i have ever seen, like ones with "g's" instead of "c's" and like the ones with the patches with like polka dots on some patches and "o's" on some patches. they just look crazy. but i do really like coach i think they are really cute but i also think that if you must have one you should invest in a real one beacuse they last for a long time and look great for a long time and people with fake ones look stupid, but if you cant afford more than one then you should get a neutral color. but its great to be different from everyone else.

well some of them are really but then some are fake schemers will do that for money like in new york city the little things on the side of the sidewalk are usually fake but go into a store a Nice one that you know is really or just ask someone who's working there!and i would rather buying 5 different purses!!hope i helped!

I think most of them are real since theyre not that expensive compared to designer brands like Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Valextra and other luxe brands that run in the thousands...a Coach can be had for a couple of hundred or less at TJ MAXX or the Coach overstock stores. Fake bags are easy to spot, why carry one.

Most of the purses are probably fake. If the C's are connected in some way, they are fake. But I'm with you, I rather have 4 or 5 nicer purses instead of just one. Even though I have a Dooney & Bourke, its nice to have one really nice purse.

i have had a couple of coach purses, one as a gift and one off ebay( i would never been able to afford one) and i liked them very much, but not because they were "coach" brand, just because they suited my needs. darlin, it doesn't make a whit of differece whether the bags you see w/other women are real coach or not! carry what you like and hang the rest!

fake! But when you can't afford it and really like them what are you gonna do. I've carried knock offs before! But I agree that i don't like my purse looking like everyone elses. so i try and find the funkiest ones that no one else would carry. Then, i usually am unique.
