2 weeks and you think you know enough already ?
Do you have a college degree , and specialized in the field you got your job in ?

How is it you came to know everything in just 2 weeks ?

If you can't cope with getting instructions and directions , you maybe should get a low end job like being a restaurant hostess where your only task is seating people and giving them a menu .

Firstly what type of job is it?

In the food business, there is very high turnover and he is probably being tough on you to see what you are made of and if you can handle the pressure. Also, if you are working in a kitcen, etc, there is no time to dilly dally. Managers know if you are going to catch on or not and he may be trying to get the best out of you.

If you rise to the challenge, he will respect you. If you don't and decide that to slack off, he will spit you out.

So hang in there for just a little while especially if you want a career in the field. No one deserves to be abused but you will find difficult people everywhere you go.

If this job is outside your normal field and you took it as a lark - if you don't feel it is the right job than look around. Its better to have a job and look than quit and expect to find something.

The other answers that were offered to you sound sensible. However, consider that there are certain types of personalities that need to beat up on people beneath them. This type of person will forever be finding fault with you.

You need a realistic appraisal of whether your situation is the result of your inexperience and poor work or whether your boss has a personality disorder. It is sometimes possible to win over and awful boss, but is it worth the effort.

Certainly don't quit this job until you have another lined up. It's much harder to get a job when you are unemployed.

1) How are you going to learn if he doesnt tell you?
2) why do you say he is picking on you?
3) is this your first job?
4) are you always going to run away if you meet with unpleasant situations?
Suck it up, do your best and thank him for the help.
