This is a 2 story house with 3 bedrooms. It has not been deep cleaned not really cleaned at all in 6 months. (Except dishes and mild sweeping)
There are water stains in the bathroom and kitchen.
There is pet hair everywhere...even the walls and curtains.
There is a smell in on the wood stairs like pet urine maybe.
And there are personal things all over that i do not know where to place them. Knick knacks to old mail, tools ad well just things they never put away.

The dishes are all dusty in the cup boards to. And there is old cake mixes and such all dusty.
Where do I start? is one room easier to start with?
What about all the pet hair on everything including the walls...i do not want it spreading on the things I have wiped allready?
Thanks.

This person is disabled and was unable to realy clean and teens never helped at all. I can clean for how ever long t takes. The money is not a issue. I think my best bet is to empty every dish out of the cupboards and hand wash them.there is no dishwasher. There is cat and dog hair under the fridge to and behind the toilet. I do have a small dry vac. with attachments. So i think this will help.
I was thinking of removing the curtians and washing them then vaccuming the window seals...then doing the walls. But my fear is the floor hair will get on them again when I vaccum it.

Start with vacuum top to bottom! Light fixtures ceiling fans cob webs knock all down to ground! Use attachments and dry clean all drawers and tubs and showers stairs floors everything then you can start mopping use white vinegar and water. This will get the smells off wood floor plan on changing water allot! 3 cups of vinegar to 2 gallons of warm water. I would mop with allot of water to start with then go back over it and pick up loose water with well rung out mop. Letting the mop water sit on floor for a little bit will help not have to scrub so hard. You will know the floor is clean when your mop water quits getting dirty! Clean all drawers and cupboards good old lemon soapy water again I do things twice therefore I do not have to scrub so hard the second time always comes up easier! Even the bathrooms! Get some Lime away for water stains this is the only thing that will take up hard water stains after you do this go back and clean with bleach to sanitize bathroom do not mix these products rinse well after Lime away. Use the dishwasher for all dishes keep the machines working! Grease build up the only thing that does the trick is 409 again do it twice wont have to scrub so hard even on stove. I clean empty of foreclosed house and I tell you people are dirty. Throw away all the groceries no telling how long they have been shelved some have dates but hard to read or find! Good Luck hope this helps!

I usually start by washing the dishes that are in the kitchen already that way I have room for any dishes that are scattered throughout the home. Then I finish the kitchen while I'm at it.

After that, I just go room by room in no particular order and make sure it's clean before moving on to the next one.

start by getting some garbge bags and getting rid of everything that should go. it will make it easier to see what is left over. if there are cat hairs on the walls you will probably have to wash the walls. throw out the old cake mixes with the garbage as they are probably stale dated.

try vinegar and water on the cat smells on the stairs. if they are carpeted you can buy a special solution to try to get it out. however, if it has been there for a while it may be permanent.

is there a dishwasher? if so plunk all the dishes in there. if not just put hot soapy water in the sink and dip one cupboard at a time. washing out the cupboard while they drip dry.

as for the easiest room to start with i always find it to be the bathroom. it is quick and easy and gives me a sense of accomplishment.

good luck., wouldn't want hat job as i hate cleaning.

Vacuum all the animal hair first thing. All of it.
Then the kitchen.
Bathroom.
Living room.
Bedrooms.

Go slow and pace yourself. Sit down when you feel tired. Eat/drink energy foods/drinks.

I would say start at the top and work your way down... Get all the things that you DO NOT WANT out of the house.. Either toss or donate them... So, get yourself some boxes and start by getting things you don't want out or at the very least into one central location.. A garage, basement, extra room etc...Then remove all curtains and rugs either toss them or have them cleaned... Wash the walls with a solution of TSP or trisodium phosphate or a mild solution of vinegar and water.. This will help remove any smells... If you can you may want to remove the carpet and either refinish the hardwood floors or get new carpet/hardwood floors... Pet stains are hard to remove... If money isn't an option get a dishwasher installed and maybe replace the appliances if you can't get them clean... Vacuum, the entire house empty the bag or cansiter often.. Also, change any furnace/AC filters to start trapping small dust particles... In the bathroom get yourself armed with bleach... Get a large spray bottle and use a 50/50 solution of bleach/water.. Spray the tile/tub surround and let it sit for 10min-1/2 hour and rinse.. You can also shut off the toilet water valve and pour 2-3 cups of bleach in there directly and let that sit as well... Use the same solution to clean the counters.. Vacuum or sweep the floors and then mop with some vinegar and water.. .I would also have the ducts cleaned since she had pets that shed... Clean the windows with non-sudsing ammonia/newspaper and any woodwork with vinegar/water. Have the home inspected to find out where and why you are having "water spot" issues and to see if everything is up to code.... It might be easier to do one room at a time and have friends and family help you... Have someone in each cleared out room with their own buckets/mops/sponges.. Then it won't be so bad... Make it a fun BBQ or let them go through anything that's left in the house thats' going to charity.... Or both... In the kitchen, you want to clear out the cupboards and throw away any old food.. If you want the dishes wash them and pack them in a container or box well labeled.... Start by using your vacuum attachment to clear any cobwebs or dust bunnies in the ceiling and work your way down to the floor and behind the furniture.. .Vacuum the back of the fridge where the coils are so the fridge can work more effieciently...I prefer to vacuum over sweep.. I think it contains the dirt/dust more.... Then you want to wipe the cabinets down with vinegar/water and clean the inside as well... .You may want to lay down some shelf liner or something... Then work your way down to the floor... Use the vinegar/water solution to wash the floor.... good luck...
