So, what is your point? The Constitution of the United States of America, sets the guidelines by which this country shall be governed, not the United Nations. As far as fostering violence, every state and local government that has approved legal carry of handguns, open or concealed, has seen a steady reduction in violent crime. If you will notice, in this country, the highest crime rates are in the areas where guns are most prohibited, (Washington D.C., Chicago, L.A., and the list goes on).
Remember this too, old cliches' become old cliches because they are rooted in fact, and this is an old cliche, "God, Guns, and Guts made this country great".

Macman said it best. In truth, even with all it's flaws, the UN is the last bastion of any democracy left in the world. If the last remaining freedom loving human animals of the world wish to retain any freedoms they will take over the UN and force it to clean up it's act.

America forefathers obviously felt so strongly about the right to keep and bare arms that they made it the second Amendment. Right after freedom of speech.
