I have a huge arachniphobia and I am unable to enjoy my balcony by the lake because it has been taken over by huge, quarter size spiders. They're everywhere!! I don't mind having my boyfriend kill one or two but this is just getting outrageous! Is there any cheap and safe way I can get them to at least stay away from my balcony/apartment. By the way, I have a little dog that I don't want hurt by any chemicals.

Well, I just use rubbing alcohol in a squirt bottle..I hit the little devils then spray the area..they really don't like it, and it costs about .65 cents a bottle.

Yes. Go and buy some "Home Defense" from any Garden Center. It kills on contact and also repels them and any other insect too. It's all written on the container. It costs about $15.00 a gallon.

I use horse apples, [Osage orange fruit]
try a orange smell spray, that's what the Osage fruit smells like, and it will keep spiders away,

spiders = no bugs.
so you got to decide whether you want to live with spiders or bugs.
spiders are actually rather handy because they eat all the little critters crawling around.
