try to always have a smile on your face even if the cutomer seems to be unfriendly and try to guess his haracter i mean try to find how to reach his heart i am not asking you to make friends at work with them all i am asking is to make them feel comfortable and that they can trust you and dont be annoying, if they dont like sth dont keep telling it is so gerat it is good u should try,..bla bla they leave at once or if the customer was trouble maker he might report you to the boss

compliment them. like if they comein with a new hairstyle, say, OMG, your hair looks so nice that i hardly recognized it was you! thats cheesy i know, but say what you will mean. i do it all the time, and i get mad tips. not that im expecting it, but i love my job, i enjoy it, and i love when customers come back to my restuarant and ask for me. its feels good to say these things to peple you barely know, and then they come more often and always request you to serve them. it makes me feel damn good about myself.

easiest way to do this is put yourself in their place, what would you want if you were them? when you can anwser that, you will always make them happy, trust me, i'm 39 and been in coustmer service sence i was 16

help them as much as possible...but that ole saying "the customer is always right"...sorry that's not even true at all. i give respect where/when its given. no disrespect or anything at all.

Make a database of their preferences, remember who they are and what they like, keep an updated profile and anticipate their needs.
