I have often wondered where does the white go when snow melts?

when the snow is around the crystals reflect the light in a way that makes it look "white" to your eyes.
when these crystals melt, the light doesnt reflect, and it simply goes through them, just as it would with water.

The white is a characteristic of the ice crystals and light. When the ice doesn't exist, the colour doesn't either
