I am glad there aren't but I am also surprised there aren't.

Or at least more Boehner & Obey episodes.

I think it must be difficult sometimes to hold your cool with all of the 'politicking' in Washington.

Hmm, maybe Washington is really no place for 'normal' folks?

No, I'm not surprised. The "two" parties agree on most of the issues and most of the politicking is for show in my opinion.

Well, unlike other countries, our Congress is almost never at work, so the chances that a fight might break out is slim to none.
Bunch of spineless weasels anyway. It would be like watching Clay Aiken and Richard Simmons get into a fight.

Disclaimer: Not that I have anything against Aiken or Simmons, I'm just using them as an example.

There used to be. Senator Charles Sumner was beaten quite nearly to death on the floor of the Senate by a pro-Slavery congressman who was offended by Sumner's inflammatory speeches about Bleeding Kansas and the crime of slaveholding generally.

But that was before the US was even 100 years old. The new democracies are actually acting in quite the same way as the US did in its infancy.

I am not. The two parties are basically one.
They maintain a facade of difference to keep the population amused and content, but in reality the Democrats and republicans share the same ideas (less tax, vote for Iraq war, swear on Bible, kiss babies instead of affect real change, etc.) and have the same source of corporate funding.

You're right though, Wa$hingtoon is no place for normal folks, or sane folks, or decent folks, or GOD FORBID, honest folks.

Not at all. American politicians have mastered the art of being politically correct even when they disagree.
