If you have Cricket or Metro PCS in your town that is your best bet. There phones are are alright, but it is unlimted mintues and text messaging for like 50 a month. And there is never a contract just pay for the phone and the first month bill. But if you dont have them every company has prepaid, Verzion would probably be the best, some people like Suncom unplan but I really dont like Suncom. And Boost mobile is another phone that has mintues no contract. Hope it helps alittle

Almost every carrier offers a pre-paid plan. My top choices are Verizon's it cost 99 cents a day and 10 cent a minute but you get nights and weekends free. My daughter has one and seems to like it. If you want a phone with no daily fees get a net10 phone. It's 10 cent a minute anytime. I have one since I don't make many calls it's great.

The only option besides a contract phone would be to purchase a phone and use a pre-paid plan. Most carriers offer a pre-paid plan. But, it will cost you more per minute.

I have METRO PCS... it's not available nation wide yet... but it's worth it.
I get free calls, free long distance, free texts, for about 50 bucks a month.
I love it.
