The Taliban never really were "put out of business" to begin with; they were only forced underground, figuratively and literally. They are succeeding on two fronts: peddling a lethal product to Western addicts while using the profits to buy the weapons that will be used against Western "invaders."

Until the United Nations makes it THEIR "business" -to find an alternative Cash Crop for the Afgannies to feed their families from- the Taliban will have control over the Country via the Drug Trade. Money makes the World go 'round. And all the military might in the WORLD- is not going to stop the terrorist Taliban in Afganistan from wreaking havoc on the people (and US)- if they can keep growing the "where-with-all" to keep the fight going. :(
