Plecos are nocturnal. They are usually most active at night, or when it is dark. You should have known that before buying a fish that you will rarely see. By the way, for 3 Plecos, you are going to need a fair sized tank! The Leopard will both get about a foot long, the Tiger will get about 6 inches long, and the Snowball will stay about 6 inches long as well, so I hope you have at least 40 gallons for them.

In a 55 gallon tank, they have plenty of room, but that isn't going to change the fact that they are a nocturnal species, just be patient and try to give them subdued lighting.

i have found zucchini and cucumbers as well as fastening small silver side fish or krill close to your plecos entrance will lure them out into eating in the open....also helps to lower the light or use a low red light( you can find the small led ones at most pet stores).
