We can start with Nancy Peiosi and her pledge to bring ETHICS to Congress.
So what about Ted Kennedy?
What about William Jefferson?
How come Republicans who demonstrate lapses in ethics are pushed out of office by their OWN party without as much as a hearing while the Democrats totally ignore the MOST BLATANT crimes and never say a thing if the crime is committed by a Democrat?
That is just ONE more PROOF of their total LACK of being able to even understand the basic qualities of CHARACTER we MUST demand from elected public servants.
The Democratic definition of public servant must be: One who has the public as their servant.

Politicians of any stripe will promise anything to be elected and ride the lavish government gravy train. Republicans stood by and watched as George Bush ran rip shod over our Constitution in the name of 'war'; Democrats promised to end this 'war' and in eight months have done nothing to keep their pledge. -RKO- 08/25/07

A politician is a politician (left side or right). Asking them not to look out for themselves and their friends first is like asking a lion to go vegan. It just ain't happening.
