I don't really know what makes the determination. I heard once that "men don't know who they will marry until someone asks them".
When girls automatically know whom they will sleep with then they are drunk. Guys don't know automatically anything, they are math minded and calculators, they want to know who will accept all their inadequacies without them changing.

I would have to say yes... though not "automatically"... more that in the sexual arena, women decide sex and men decide marriage (as a generality).
