well we do get bands like slayer and metallica and alll that remains and like 5 more but none of the amazing good **** comes there!! we did have a black sabbath one but i couldnt go to that one and thats about it and a megadeth but like bands like machine head, trivium, opeth,shadows fall,deicide,cannibal corspe,dimmu borgir, and a lot more have never come? can someone tell me why? all we get is like pop i swear!

Performers go where their handlers think they will have an audience and blow-out "gate". If they are noting touring to your city, it is because the demographics say they would make more money performing elsewhere. There is a whole pantheon of vendors, food marketers, etc., dependent upon how big a crowd they can draw. So it is no longer where the fans are, it is were are the fans who will pay to see them.

Because a lot of metal bands can not cover as many countries as they'd like to- due to financial issues. It costs bands a lot of money to tour extensively. If a band does not feel they have a lot of fans in a particular country they don't think it would be lucrative to travel there. It's the same reason why a lot of bands do not go to Australia.
It can also be an issue of visas. I know that a lot (Mayhem, Emperor, Celtic Frost) of bands have had difficulty getting the proper parperwork to travel to the U.S. and Canada.
