I get the occassional bee or wasp in the house (I leave a lot of windows open, get them about twice a week) and as they scare me (I know, whimpy) I got a bugspray but it's such horrible stuff. They take ages to die and flies keel over and die even hours after I sprayed it. I've just spent fifteen minutes rescuing flies and taking them back into the fresh air, I have nothing against flies so I feel horrible that they've gotten ill. So is there a way to get rid of bugs without risking a sting but also without actually harming them?

PS I know for spiders there's this plastic thing you can capture them in but I'm not keen on getting that near a spider.

If you're sure that you have bugs in your house, it must be the Feds. Don't say nuthin that could do you bad. If you need to talk, do it in the basement near the AC ducts.

unfortunetily, spiders are here to stay and spreay if you don't kill them. Anything other than insectaside, they just re-move. I flipped when I went to bed, looked up and there was5 0 or so little clear spiders running above me which I fond was out was spiderlings (baby spiders) It took me no time to spray and get the brumb to get them down then ,I had to wash the sheets, floor and everything they can fall on. Can you see yourselt waking to a spider on your face?I wouldld have a heart attack before I could cal the doctor. Now in my prayers, I ask God to keep them away!

The problem is that the spiders kill the other insects that bite you and cause sores and bites. Get some alcohol and put in on each bite. For better protection get a tent over your beds and baby beds. I can't stand them either and don't like using the spray but it's that UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE SPIDERS AND insects all over the placed and possibly you can't take them, as I.I hate killing them but have no choice indoors. There was no mother in sight on my bedeoom ceiling so all I can imagine is she hid in a drawer or under the bed. Ewe! I hate them . I wear long gloves to sweep them down, The big ones do have an orangest/red dot on its bottom end but the bug man says the arent black widows!

Oh, I also got two cats that will go after them if they make it on the beds or floor, and vacumne good daily including ANY webs in the house. often.I still done nwo what they are! Anyone know?

I do exactly the same thing as Kai and it works beautifully for me all the time. When I see a bee or a wasp in my house, I wait until it lands on something and then I get a glass jar that has a wide mouth and a cover, very carefully place the jar over the creature and when it flies inside, quickly put the cover on and then bring the jar outside, take the cover off and let the insect fly away.

You sound like me, about ten years ago.I have always had a merciful heart and hate myself for even accidently killing insects too. I eventually got the hang of becoming an insect rescuer with the help of my Nescafe coffee jar. My husband would never remove spiders or things like that for me even though i was petrified of them, he did me a favour in a way. Even wasps and bees once they sit down they crawl really slowly so its easy just to put the jar over them let them fly into it
and then put the lid on and take it away from your house and remove the lid. Be brave do it once or twice and then you will get the hang of it.

Place some muslin or netting over the window opening. This will allow the air to pass through but keeping the bugs out at the same time.

Put nets over your window. This way, they will not enter in the first place. That's what people do in very very hot countries where they have to leave windows and doors open at all times. You can use blue tack to stick them them on or same soft nails and then you can always take them off. Good Luck!

im with you on the spider thing, for me the handle on the plastic thing would have to be about two meters long hehe. try putting mossie netting up in the windows, keeps the flying things out at least. as for spiders..not so easy..keeping the place clean, and dust and bug free is a good start. being proactive is definitely kinder than any chemical..or rolled up magazine!

for most flying bugs theres an easy way to get them out at night. turn off all likghts in your house and turn on the porch light. They usually go towards the light so this works. I dont know about the day though!

You do not need to kill them.Just buy plastic sticks(glued, before usage just remove some paper),connect them to the window,on the glass,on top or on lowest part of window. They will stick(any bugs)easy to remove and through away together with all bugs.windows will clean,do not worry.
