ok i already know i will play college ball because coach told me. i just do not know what level. by the way my coach was a 4 year starter and senior captain at michigan playing middlebacker. i started last year as a sophmore and was 2nd on the team in tackles. i am not that big, not that fast, not that strong, not that exellent at anything, except hitting. i am small but i hit the hardest on my team. i max bench 280 and max squat 400. i am 5'9, 220lbs, and run a 4.8 forty. i know i am small and slow, but i am very quick. in shuttles and change of direction drills i am always first. what division do you think i will play? in the games where we played against multiple top 10 teams in the state i performed my best. i went against 3 rbs last season that went d1. i dominated 1 guy all game, i unloaded on another and got my teams biggest hit of the season against the other, and did ok against the last one. o and i am a straight honor roll. can i play d1? what do you think? thanks

You sound like a mac linebacker all the way. 4.8 isn't bad for a middle linebacker. 5-9 is a little short, but London Fletcher was an all pro and only 5-10. If your heart is in it, you could probably even play for a big ten school. Keep working out, your weights are low. Also they don't really care what your max bench is, but how many times you can bench 225.

You could play D-1, but it probably won't be in a power conference (SEC,ACC,PAC-10, BIG 10, BIG 12). If you get a lot of exposure this year and in your senior year you'll get colleges calling. By the way you described yourself, you can definitely play college football. All you have to do is play hard and try to go to some camps to get exposure.

dam some one who actually could play in college at all asking about it. and yes D1 probably a smaller school program. you could probably start soph year at a school like furman or georga southern (or any other d1-aa school probably) and d1-a you might get looks from schools like san jose state and rice (you know, not as top programs) but you might be able to start sohp year there too pending your talent.

for entering your JR year, have your dad or some oen film your games this year and make a high light film (if you have your best hits last year too take that and say soph year: those hits...at the beginning fo the film...and at the end of it (you may have to film senior year as well to make a really good tape) put teh entire game of your best game. this is the advice of one of my caochs to another player whos had 3 division 1 players and multiple d1-aa and a few d2 players. and once you make your tape and show it to your coach, if he says its perfect or if he says add some play or something, do it and reshow it to him and once he says itss good to go, send it to D1A colleges and any other school youre interseted and think you can play for.

dont owrry bout size-youll be atleast one more inch by senior year if not 2 or 3./ 220 lbs is a good size aswell only 20more lbs til your the ideal weight for LB. if your an OLB prospect or you play it be like 230 and work on speed more, if MLB go for 240 and stronger. and your 40 doesnt really matter and its overrated but schools love fast kids so you should be about 4.6 probably but schuttles will make up for it.

You will probably become a power rb 5-9 isnt much for a LLinebacker but if youre fast enough probably a rb

all you got to work on is your size. eat ALOT. your just right every were else. middle linbackers arent really sposed to be fast just quick. played and wached a share of football not as experienced at offense but i play and love defence. dont stop what your doing and youll play d1

I seriously doubt you are D1 material. Your size and your speed will limit you at the D1, even D2 level.
