Soak your coins in pepsi or cola it will remove the rust .

Rust-mort Works very well. I am using it to de-rust a 66 mustang and is doing wonders. It turns the rust into a black crust that simply falls off by rubing it with your hand. And it does not harm any good metal at all.

The best thing I've found is a product called Zud®. The active ingredient is called oxalic acid. It does a great job of removing rust, but might dull the finish a bit. Check it out:

Depending on your application you can use something like POR-15 that actually converts the rust to an inert material and stops future rust.
Most automotive stores sell it or a similar product.

don't know how much rust you have but steel wool and WD-40 is what I use. Perfect for surface rust on metals you don't want to scratch, tools, rims, appliances.........

navel jelly, sold at most hardware stores
use a good wire brush on it first to remove any loose rust,

CLR-- you can get this most anywhere. It stands for calcium lime and rust....its great to have around the house to clean lots of stuff
