Definately overindulgance but also understanding. We are so wrapped up in our everyday life, judging other people that we dont even think about what would be like to be in their shoes for a day. Sometimes, we can be so filled with hate for someone or a group of people that it clouds are better judgement.

I think their egotism and parochial view. When children mature, they develop the ability to consider perspectives other than their own and shape their behavior to accommodate other people and still get what they want. It is called cooperation. The US government still has a puerile attitude, such that they think everyone thinks and acts like us or wants to and we do not have to consider the factors motivating and affecting others. Often we act like the bully on the block, but now we live in a city, and sometimes we have to learn a new way to manage conflict. We should seek happiness for all. We all live on the same planet and we can get around it too easily. We are not isolated from one another any more.

Decency. The media and paparazzi are paying too much attention to the negative role models in society that they do not take the time to acknowledge REAL role models. If every American just decided to take pride in themselves and what they do the world really would be a better place. Stand up for what is right because believe it or not there is a fine line between wrong and right.

Americans are greedy. Period. Just take a look at the waistlines of the citizens of our fine country and you'll get a good measure of our gluttony. We take everything we have for granted; even when we're at war, we hardly notice. Meanwhile, billions of peopl e in the world suffer because of our demands and our laziness to produce the things we need on our own (both on a personal and much larger level).
