Ok, first, MCR & Green Day aren't punk. If you want punk, try The Ramones, Sex Pistols,... all those good punk bands of the 70s.
Butttt if you want more MCR & Green Day type stuff....

First of all, MCR is not punk. Idk what you would call them, maybe emo.
Green Day is not punk (in my humble opinion, though many think they are). I'd call them alternative.
REAL punk bands are The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Black Flag, The Dead kennedys, X, The Germs, Bad Religion, Minor Threat, etc.
Most people these days REALLY misuse the word punk.
If you like MCR then you might like Fall Out Boy, Cute Is What We Aim For, The All-American Rejects, (etc.)
Some that are like Green Day: The Offspring, Linkin Park, Three Doors Down.

Pennywise, Unwritten Law, Millencolin. Three great punk bands which are (in my opinion) better than Green Day.

The Misfits were the best punk band ever. Glenn Danzig is a freaking pioneer.
