Any dried beans or peas, reconstituted.
All melons (although I can eat watermelon as long as I don't have more than one helping every month).
Cheese especially, but all milk products. I am very much lactose intolerant. Although I find I can eat all the fat free yogurt I want.

And the only thing that I would bother to take Pepcid for, in order to be able to eat it is cheeses...most especially the cheese that goes onto my daughter's homemade pizza....a mix of old white cheddar, mozzarella, provolone and parmesan. Sometimes it kills me even when I take the Pepcid, so then I reach for the Beano as well !

No, I don't use Pepcid or any antacid. I drink a cup of pure warm water in a coffee cup with a teaspoon of cayenne (chili) powder three times a day. I have never had any problems with upset stomach and I eat what I want, whenever I have the urge. The cayenne I use is rated at 100,000 heat units. If you dried and powdered jalapenos the powder would only be about 5,000 heat units.

No, I am beyond pepcid! I take prescription medications: Protonix and glycopyrrolate. This is for a hiatal hernia, ulcers which were lazered, spastic colon and Diverticulitis.

I cannot eat many things. No dairy, no white flour, nothing with seeds and on and on....

I basically have a high fiber diet with loads of veggies!

My sweet husband is 81 years young and I am 70. We can eat anything and everything that we like and it does not bother us.

Seniors feel young on the inside, but they show wrinkles on the outside. So don't ever talk to seniors as if they are unaware of what is going on around them.

By the way, we now have 117 million seniors in the good old USA.

Jalapenos. Burn a lot, but then they always did. I could just handle it better.

No, don't use Pepcid. Use Tums because it has calcium and cheaper than paying for calcium pills.

EDIT: I forgot one. I can't eat my tuna salad anymore because it gives me heartburn.

No more fried of grease-laden foods for this girl! I don't need any type of meds if I EAT CORRECTLY. I also can't digest anything with artificial sweetners & chemical additives. My options are limited, but it is worth it if I don't have to feel the burn of stomach acids or have the blackness of an antacid present in my system!

For thirty years I have been on a suger free, fat free diet, so that I do not have to take insulin.. Its a very heathy diet, but once in awhile I fall off the restricted wagon, I usally get a migrain headache, so its not worth deviating from.

Not so much what I eat, but when I eat it....if I eat and then remain inactive, especially anything with tomatoes, I get heartburn...so it is off to the cabinet and out comes the baking soda...quickest relief from heartburn known. Cucumbers, no matter when I eat them, guarantees heartburn..have no idea why
