me and my fiance are taking a roadtrip from houston to the smokey mountains. we are getting married there. what places on the way would you visit? We've come up with Nashville/Memphis and New Orleans. Any good, any other ideas! thanks!

chattanooga has tons of fun stuff to do- ruby falls, rock city, the incline ailroad, chattanooga choo choo, the aquarium, river walk.... it's a fun place. I live outside of nashville and there is a lot to do here, too. historic homes to tour, lower broadway where the honky tonks are, country music hall of fame, boats on the cumberland river (catch them at opry mills mall). Also, there is gatlinburg at the entrance to the smokies. Lots of shopping there and another aquarium. Personally, I'd skip memphis! Have a great trip and a lifetime of happiness!

Knoxville Tennessee and if you have a chance I suggest Savannah Georgia. It's a bit out of the way but Paula Dean lives there and owns a restaurant with her sons called The Lady and Sons. Have a fun trip and I wish you many years of a happy marriage.
