Um, Koi get more than 2 feet long, so definitely not 1 Koi per 2 gallons, try maybe, 2 or 3 fish in the entire tank! Koi are pond fish, and should be given ample space. They are voracious plant eaters, so unless you want small plant stubs in your tank, use plastic plants. Email me if you have any questions.

EDIT: You could only keep about 20 Fancy Goldfish, Common Goldfish get about 2 feet long, so you could have about 5 of them. Do not mix Koi with Goldfish, or Common Goldfish with Facy Goldfish, the Koi will always beat the Goldfish and the Commons will always beat the Fancies.

They grow to 3 feet, so maybe 1 or 2. Don't add any goldfish eithere. Goldfish need an additional 20 gallons to themselves. Make sure you have excellent filtration to pick up their feces. Do not listen to the first answerer whatsoever. With 1 koi per 3 gallons, it can barely move!

3 to 4 max.
You could however grow some really nice sized goldfish in that tank and you could have more than just a few. You could keep 20 to 30 goldfish and still have plenty of room.

I read that you should keep one koi in 2 to 4 gal. So you could put anywhere from 79 to 158 koi fish in your tank!!!!
