Not all Zionists are Jewish. Its not that AIPAC controls America as in a "command and control" structure. Some people here misunderstood the question in that context.

AIPAC is influencial in a sense that there is bias in people's minds. I have also heard that they are influencial in the media. And they are powerful because they have lots of money.

And the whole $60 billon plus defence deal to Middle Eastern countries Israel, should be cut. The US being afraid of Iran's influence in the region is just laughable, just laughable.

I don't think AIPAC - the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, has hijacked anything ... Let alone American Policy.

Yes Israel does indeed benefit from the actions of AIPAC, but I don't believe the welfare of Israel is the primary function of AIPAC. The primary function of the existence of AIPAC is to support a pro-American state in the a region that is largely anti-American. A pro-American state is a country that will open (some might say sacrifice) it's markets, resources, labor, and political environments in support of American political and business interests.

So rather than AIPAC hijacking American policy, I think AIPAC itself has been hijacked by the American ruling elite ... in order to support the expansion of American self-interests in a highly unstable area.

Israel benefits by having big, strong brother by it's side, and both countries can point to the peceived dangers of Iran and Iraq (whether real of fabricated) and mutually build up their mighty military machines.

and you see what they are doing
30 billion dollars in US aid

we have senior citizens cutting their pills,
we have kids in bad school buildings with teachers teaching to a test, we need better schools with science and computer labs and better textbooks,

dittoheads will tell you unemployment is fine but real people know whats going on, purchaseing power is down and we don't have the security we used to with our health care and employment

Question: How is AIPAC any more or less powerful than any other lobby group in Washington?

Do you ask such questions about any other lobby group?

If not, then one might start to think that your focus on AIPAC has to do mainly with that they are Jewish, am I right?

Conspiracy theorists have an over-inflated sense of importance of whatever issues they believe in. American foreign policy is determined by many competing priorities, and to think AIPAC runs the show suggests they have more influence than anybody else.

The US gives more military aid to Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Shouldn't that be your concern? If not why not?
