it comes to computers im a novice and dont understand most terms, what exactly is spam? please can someone explain in the simplist way possible.

SPAM is usually e-mail that you receive from someone who is trying to get you to:
1 Open an attachment that contains a virus
2 Reveal details of you bank account etc. by kidding you they are the bank security.
3 Visit a web site that contains either a virus or obscene material
In other words con men who use e-mail

Spam is Stuff Posing As Meat...... Oh in the computer sense, every time you go on web sites at have pop up or some that don't ur email address gets saved and that company send you annoying email every so often and sometime those companies send ur email address to other companies so they can send you annoying email. So that is all spam is.....ANNOYING EMAILS

spam is a 'slang' term for waht is technically known as "Unsolicited Commeracial Email" or UCE.
in other words junk mail.
or a nutricious pork sandwich filling that seems to have developed a cult following.
take you pick, but leave the shovels alone.

Spam = Stupid People Annoying Me. It's junk email. Mail from people who you have not asked to send you anything, generally trying to sell you slimming aids, viagra, pictures of underage girls or stock market information.
Email addresses are often harvested from websites and personal pages, or sometimes they are randomly generated (they mail everything, some of it will stick).
