Anyone know what type of oil would be in a kitchen meat grinder? The bolts wern't tight on ours and the oil leaked out thru the cork seal so it's close to a 1/8 cup low and the seal needs to be replaced. Just wondering what kind of oil would have been in there to replace it.

You didn't say what brand and model meat grinder you have. Northern Industrial Tools item #168632 uses #52 gear oil. I don't know how common that is. If you know the brand of your grinder then you may be able to look it up online, get a user manual online or call the service center and get the information.

I would expect the OIL to be a food grade type, in a Meat grinder, so i would use a good veg oil , to replace it,
