In a literal sense, the notion of trolls may have originated when neanderthals existed at the the same time homo sapiens (us) existed, so yes, they may have existed. In a metaphorical sense, I work with trolls on regular basis! So no matter how you look at it, yes, I believe that trolls really did or do exist.

1. Real life trolls - Maybe
2. Yahoo! Answers trolls - I wish they didn't or never existed

trolls and bigfoot are one and the same. think about all the evidence out there on trolls. smelly, cannabalistic, often
kidnap humans, and live underground. now bigfoot, again
large, smelly, hard to find ( america is one big cave system)
and have been reported to carry off humans. Hmmm. and
they still exist today under a different name.

I believe that anything can exist depending on how you look at it.
For instance, witches who could make a potion to change their hair color were hanged back in the day. Do you believe they actually changed their hair color with a magical potion? Would you believe it if I told you they used similar ingredients to the hair coloring stuff you can buy at Wal*Mart today?
Anything's possible. It's all about how you look at it.

You're kidding, right? I was just violated by a troll with a poor sense of humor.
But it's also quite possible that trolls are what our ancestors 'saw' when they encountered space aliens on the road.

Trolls and little people also. my great uncle from Ireland came to live with us and he brought a large box with air holes in it and now things keep get missing and i swear i hear little peoples voices under the floor boards and if they steal any more of my stuff i am borrowing the next door neighbours cat that kills rats and mice and well you get the idea.

Nope. I do "believe" that many mythical creature sories were told to explain exposed fossils. There seems to be a reasonable connection between similarities in the area's fossils and the stories that originated there.

no but i think there might be evil trolls that might come during the apocalipse since during the rapture (some of the erlier apostils saw the future) horrible ugly gruesome monsters will come as pets of the devil

well i am from michigan and i live in the lower peninsula, and we are called trolls cause we live below the bridge, so yes i believe in them
