That would be Reagan, Rumsfeld, Bush 1, and Bush 2. Reagan also allowed the illegal sales of arms to Iran while illegally diverting funds to the Contras.

Let me guess, could it be GW Bush. None of this would be happening now if we had just made Nixon our King as he should have been. Nixon personified the sort of character that is required to lead and control the band of misfits we elect to Senate and Congress each election. That's why he was set up and shamed from office as the people would have not accepted yet another assassination. Ever since his removal those that set him up have had free reign to undermine the values and freedoms our brave countrymen have fought and laid down their lives for. Now we are facing choices that were once unthinkable. The very things we would never have stood for decades ago are now the lesser of two evils and become accepted as the alternative is even worse. Americans need to wake up and act fast but sadly they wont because complacency and acceptance has became their daily brainwashing.

The sainted Mr. Reagan armed the Iraqis during the Iran Contra affair. The Bush's money comes from oil deals with the Saudis of which the bin Laden family is a major player. But since they are Republican, their actions are only noble, right?

Yo, Biff, when passing out the blame, you forgot Johnson, Kennedy and Roosevelt. Evil Democrats!

After America realized the mistake we made and cut Saddam off, Russia, Germany, and France were happy to sell weapons to Saddam.
Funny how you demonize the entire Bin Ladin family because of the actions of one member who the rest of teh family has shunned. Is guilt by association something you liberals are proud to practice? Anyone in your family ever done something wrong? If so you should be severly punished for the actions of others just like you are suggesting we do to the Bin Ladins.

Yes, the US provided arms to Saddam Hussein while he was at war with the Iranians. No explanation will be good enough for you, but at the time, Iran was more of a threat than Saddam. You've heard the old saying, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".
Don't forget the US armed the Mujah Hadein in Afghanistan when the Soviets invaded. Again, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".
I understand that you don't want to admit it, but all presidential administrations, republican and democrat, have at one time or another supported unsavory leaders in various countries to further US interests. Don't forget, the democrat's favorite wartime president, FDR, supported one of the most bloodthirsty dictators in history to defeat another.

Do me a big favor and learn how global politics work before you go on a tirade against US policy. This sort of thing isn't new. In the Cold War, certain petty dictators had their uses in order to combat a greater evil - which was of course Communism. Noriega, Mobutu, Hussein, etc ... all were with very good reason part of a global "chess board."

In Saddam's case, the greater threat at the time was an Ayatollah-controlled Iran.

You either understand how nations conduct business or get out of the game.

the clinton adminstration was in power when the bin laden construction company was awarded the contract to build military bases in the middle east.

most of the bin laden family disowened him prior to 9/11 for his views.

should we hold you resposible for that dumb cousin of yours who is always getting DUI's

as for arming saddam its not unusual for countries to arm the side of a war that is less evil at the time.
