Some people say that when I listen to really loud music on headphones (because i do) that it damages my ears. I also have some troubles with hearing. Would this really damage my ears?

yes...especially if you use earbuds cause then it's in your ears not just on them

Yea, I think it does ruin your ears, I listen to my iPod at full volume, everyone says that it's not smart to do that.
If thats the case, then I feel sorry for all of the rock or heavy metal groups in 50 years...they'll be deaf! =D

most definitely, after 30 years of listening to metal music at high volume has taken its toll, mind u I was backstage and/or playing as well as at concerts and at home.

even with all that abuse you are more prone because of continual assault on you ears, mine was a few hours at a time

I played in bands & never wore earplugs, played my Walkman too loud & my home stereo too loud & now I'm almost deaf in one ear & have trouble hearing out of the other!!! Once you lose it, IT'S GONE!!!
