Ive been taking medication and its made me really nauseated. I can stop taking the meds now BUT i cant seem to stop the nausea. Ive been drinking clear fluids and trying to keep down some sugar free juice pops but nothing seems to be helping, as soon as i eat anything (or nothing) i still feel nauseated and it comes back up. This has been going on all day. I dont have a car (broke down last night) and my dr is closed for now so seeing a dr is not really an option. I did take some bismuth and that just seemed to worsen it. please if anyone has any suggestions let me know, im really miserable =( I wont be able to see my dr until monday.

sorry it is medicine for my anemia. I think that contributes to the nausea aswell. It was like once i started to vomit i couldnt stop after that, i could hold things down for a little while but they would come back up. Thank you all though so much for the responses!! I tried a bunch, if not all, of them. Im still looking for more answers if anyone else wants to contribute.

Ginger tea helps, some people take ginger pills for seasickness too. Ginger ale has some ginger in it, not a lot.
Open a window. Avoid unpleasant smells. Some people get nauseas when smelling any strong odor. Try fresh air or cold air.
Try wearing loosefitting clothing and keeping yourself distracted. Watch television sitting half up, don't lie flat.
Use relaxation techniques like meditation and deep breathing.

I will add my voice to the others who've recommended ginger. My favorite form is ginger slices that are cooked in sugar syrup but any form will do the trick. Surely if you don't have powdered ginger in your cabinet, a friend or neighbor will help you out. Put about 1/4 teaspoon in a cup, add 6 ounces boiling water and 1/2 to 1 teaspoon honey. Let cool until comfortably warm and then sip. If it is going to work for you, relief is almost instant.
Try to stay hydrated (as you have been). Forget the sugar-free for now. Drink honey-lemon water with a few grains of salt. Gatorade or other sports drink if you can get it. Coconut water is great for electrolytes. Don't panic -- we can survive the flu and you can survive this.
Would have been good if you'd told us what sort of med made you this sick. Might call your doctor's emergency number if it goes on too long. S/He needs to know about this so s/he can make an informed decision. Or call the poison control people and tell them what has made you sick. They might have recommendations.

Chamomile tea will help. Do you have any marijuana? That is given to Chemo patients in the enlightened areas of the U.S. for nausea and appetite improvement. Sometimes saltines or white toast will stay down if you eat it in small bites over time. If not, chicken broth-a teaspoon at a time and very slowly-I have given this to my child after operations because the anesthesia would upset his stomach. If you can keep down 1 teaspoon, wait a few minutes and have another.
DON'T go back to the doctor for MORE medication!

A good pressure point to alleviate nausea is right under your nose. Press firmly into the space between the bottom of the nose and the top of the top lip. Hold until the wave of nausea is gone. The first time it will take about 30 seconds (and is going to feel like forever). But subsequent waves will be more and more infrequent and the intensity will lesson. I promise.
You don't have to go anywhere for this and it's free!
Good luck!

Don't use sugar free products. Sugar will help. I don't know what you have so I'll list some things
Peppermint Tea or Candies, Weak Tea with sugar, Soda Crackers(Saltines) Flat 7-Up(got get the bubbles out)
Are you just feeling ill or are you throwing up? If the latter & you can't get it to stop you may Dehydrate that can lead to system shut down & death.

Do you have ginger available at your place?
Ginger soup with very liberal amounts of ginger and 1 chicken drumstick helps my nausea problems immensely.
Be sure to add ginger until it slightly stings your throat.
This is ginger used as an herbal remedy, not as a seasoning or spice.

When i'm dizzy or nauseaous i take motion sickness pills like bonine or dramamine they seem to help. Even helps for hangovers too lol just hope you have some at home. If your low on cash places like walmart has the generic brand & you get a lot for your money, they seem to work the same but can make you drowsy but its better than puking!

- drink a jug and more full of warm water
- when you feel bloated, put a finger into your throat and just let go
- just puke and puke and all the water and muck in your innards will come out
- rinse your mouth and wash up with cold water
- you will feel weak
- get a half glass of cold water and add sugar and a pinch of salt
- drink this and lie down for a while
you should be ready to go in about half an hour and feel good
