Brady,

no fish for you until your tank is cycled, you're loosing your fish due to the cycling process, that means through a spike of ammonia in the middle of the cycling process
please read up on the following

And NEVER EVER buy 60 fish at once, you're only suppose to add 4-6 fish a week, no more then that

And also don't touch the pH in a cycling tank, because that's the least problem you have on your hand right now

Hope that helps
Good luck

I would test the water every other day for about 2 weeks to be sure your system is maintaining it's pH. If not, then you need to adjust the setup. No sense spending money and wasting the lives of fish. Certain filter materials, plants and additives can help you tweak the system until it is stable. If after 2 weeks it is maintaining you could add 2-3 fish at a time. Continue testing to be sure the system is holding, and wait a week or two to add other fish in this same fashion. The more fish you add, the more they will take up and contribute to the environment, so adjustments will need to be made until you complete your collection. Using this method will also limit your casualties due to fish incompatibilities.

How big is your tank also the amonia levels are probably really high with having that many fish producing waste my advise for you is STOP adding fish buy a Test kit that tests for Nitrites,Nitrates,Amonia and PH do this test. then get back but you really need to ask yourself is the tank 2 small for this amount of fish, the Tank is still going through its cycle and can last for upto a MONTH within this time there can be dangerous levels of Nitrogen and amonia in your tank which is killing your fish, do the tests immediately at your local fish store or buy a test kit, they will establish the problem.
I do hope you have a big tank like 10 footer or something

Hi Brady, You killed your fish with ammonia poisoning. Unless you have at least a 2.000 gallon tank I would strongly advise you not to add any more fish to save their lives & to save your rapidly draining finances. The key to success is research so unlock some today-you can't simply keep opening another box of fish every time something goes wrong-they are living, feeling creatures not disposable novelties. The links below should help point you in the right direction.

yeah I dont think ph was the problem that made your fish die unless your ph was like 14 or somthing way off.
It sounds like your problem was bio overload thats why your fish died till you had 3 left the filter could do 3 fish not 60.
If the fish died from ph they all die not just 57 this is a clear sign of you puting to many fish in a tank at one time and if you really think its ph try it again youll find out the hard way you cant do it like that.

I sure hope your tank is big! 60 fish? I bet your fish didn't get along and some of the fish killed the others. Otherwise, you should check ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates too. This can cause unknown reasons for fish deaths. Are you sure your fish weren't sick? If you added all 60 at once, no wonder they died!

You added 60 fish to a new tank, Do not buy anymore fish, You have to do alot of research and it wasnt just because your ph was too high for them, The tank has to cycle ETC ETC, You got to get yourself a book on keeping fish, Do not buy anymore until you understand because you will just keep killing them,

You put way too many fish to start a tank with. They are dying because they are suffacating in their own waste. Get a good aquarium guide before you buy another fish.

Wow how big is your tank. If they're too cramped up they'll probably kill each other. But sure just wat a couple days before you try anything. [: Hope it helps.
