I found this website: http://www.centerforrationaldebate.com/raiseamericans.html

but I am wondering if there are other similar sites out there that will help me become a better parent. I really want to make sure my kids have a firm grasp of right and wrong.

Look, if you are a good parent and teach your child(ren) from birth to adulthood values and morality they will grow up fine. Stay in their lives, be a parent not a friend and teach them wrong from right. Caring, nurturing, and loving from the moment they are born to when they are moved out and already married and they will always carry that with them and pass it on to their kids too. I don't think anything can erase the core of good parenting.

Make sure you limit your children's exposure to liberal media and teach them conservative values through repetition. Taking your children to church every Sunday is a good idea as well.

I think the biggest thing is just being there as a good example of a christian lifestyle for them and showing that you do care about their futures. Tell them early that there will be those who will try to dissuade them from living a christian life, remember that Christ told the disciples that they would be in villages that did not except their message and they were to leave the household and stomp their sandals to get that dust off their feet. They have to follow the disciples examples and be ready for negativism to their views.

I have a friend that severely limits her kids time on the Internet. They get 1 hour of television per day. They do chores, and they all go to church on Sunday and she gets her children involved in community projects. It's a little more work for the parent, but she is raising good citizens.

Use the media to assist you and show your kids what happens to people who live lifestyles glorified by liberals. Some prime examples are Anna Nichole Smith, Freddy Mercury, and John Holmes, all dead because of their liberal lifestyles.
"And the meek shall inherit the earth", in part because they will still be alive...

The best way to teach you kids Christian conservative values would be to keep them away from Christian conservatives, people like:
Tom Foley, who tried to seduce underage Congressional pages for obvious sexual indulgences;
Ronald Reagan, who had an affair with another woman before divorcing his first wife;
Newt Gingerich, who divorced his wife while she was lying in a hospital suffering from terminal cancer;
Rush Limbaugh, who pronounced that all drug abusers should be severely punished, only to be discovered as a prescription-drug addict himself;
an entire Republican-led U.S. Congress who spent billions of taxpayers' dollars on a witch-hunt against Bill Clinton who had an extra-marital affair with another consenting adult (something that most of those Republican Congressmen were also doing, sweating over their own infidelities and praying to God they didn't get caught while conducting their own Holier-than-thou 'investigation').

You want to be a better parent? Let your kids grow up to form their own opinions, develop their own moral compass, and decide their own political persuasions. Trying to turn them into Christian conservatives would probably only guarantee them first-class passage to Hell. -RKO- 08/25/07

The title of that web site is offensive because it suggests that only conservatives can be patriots.

First step is to take them out of public schools if they are attending. Then either home school them or send them to a private school if you can afford it. Can't wait for the vouchers myself!

Your only hope is private schooling aside from church.
