If you and your friend did something illegal and it was a felony, he was the brains behind it. You get caught and facing 5yrs in jail, would you snitch on him to get only 3mos in jail

People these days have no loyalty. If you are caught doing a crime you should do the time instead of bringing someone down with you, to benefit you.

Back when I was a younger man I most certainly would have taken the fall regardless, just to show how solid I was. Now however, I would probably in all reality let the other guy do the time as a nickel is a long time to spend in lock up for a friend/acquaintance. Do what feels right and do not allow yourself to be afraid of how others may view your decision.

Maybe 5 years in jail will make you smarter - being on the outside hasn't done much for you.
The "other guys" was the brains. i think that is one of the most stupid things criminals say.
It doesn't matter who thought it up - what matters is if you do the crime. YOU made the final decision to participate in a felony. You are just as guilty.
Myself? If I were stupid enough to participate in his schemes i would have to assume while I am doing 5 years for him - he is running around setting up other people for a 5 year fall.
i would flip him in a heart beat. Not for an easier sentence - but to keep him from doing to some other guy (who can't think for himself) what he did to me.

yes the police would appreciate the whole truth- they may even respect you for that too. and its not called "snitching" because its the truth and thats what your supposed to do- be loyal to your country, policemen, people that are trying to run everything smoothly. not the friend who helped you do this illegalality. im sure your friend would do the same.

Umm.. if we wern't close yes I would. If We were really good friends, I wouldn't.
