Get yourself involved. I used to be quiet as well. It took years to get with the flow. It's not gonna happen right then and now if you don't try. With me, I had other people make me somewhat popular and get me to talk. Hopefully, you'll find someone like that. If not, you can always make a difference in your life. It's up to you. Life is how you make it. Don't just let it pass you by. Talk to people around you. Say "Hi." Sound like you are interested and other people will open up to you. Try it. It's not gonna hurt you to try.

You say company? Not sure if you mean family, friends...etc. Not sure what your age is either. I really can't relate to this question, because I am always the first one to speak...in other words...yes...I'm a motor mouth, even with people I do not know.
But your having the problem, so I will try and help you out. I always start out by hugging and saying "Hi how have you been?...then i go..."What have you been up to"? I always make my company know it's about them...they came over, I let them speak first.
Then I usually say stuff like..."So...what's going on in your world"...I usually start telling them about my day, and what my plans are for Christmas, and so forth and so on.
Again...I do talk a lot...but I do know some people who are better listeners than talkers.
You'll do fine...just practice on your family.
Good Luck.
