I dont know if something is wrong or not.

my sister is a fairly happy person. but when someone says something to her that she thinks is directed to her she automatically takes it as they are putting her down and gets upset *crying etc..* she doesnt like to be around people and was put on depression meds 2 yrs ago for certain things and stopped them a month later...

she also has a bunch of reponsibilitys a job, school, family problems, and much more..and she gets these pains in her left chest area about where the lungs are and people have said it was stress...i am wondering if something is wrong or not and if there is can it be serious?

She should probably see a doctor, but depression does make your body hurt in ways that it doesn't usually hurt. Go to web md .com and type in her symptoms

I think if it were my sister, I'd try to talk her into either getting back on her medication, or to see a doctor she may be more comfortable with. In any case, professional help is needed.

She should probably see a doctor and then a therapist. She sounds like she has many stressors and has difficulty managing them.
