I'm 15 and a fantasy lover as much as anyone else but I don't know of any other fantasy series other than Lord of the Rings [I never tried to read those, since everyone else I knew said it was hard to get into at first which I just didn't have time for] So i started reading teenage books for a laugh.
If you're willing to move out of fantasy "the truth about forever" by Sarah Dessen is a good book. The Jessica Darling series ["sloppy firsts", "second helpings", "charming thirds", and "fourth commings"] by Megan McCafferty are good [but they do get a little mature the farther into it you go just so you know. Sloppy Firsts is still good for a laugh and Second Helpings is also one of the better from the series in my opinion]. A book I plan on reading soon is Guyaholic by Carolyn Mackler.
And incase you're saying "those books don't sound like me." they didn't sound great to me at first either. I read truth about forever because I thought the cover looked neat and I needed a book, I read Sloppy Firsts because a friend had read it and said it was good.
If you read this and want to keep one thing in mind, the best way to find a good book is ask friends for referances [they should know what you read, or atleast they will say if they've read any books worth reading]. Also ask a librarian for books similar to Harry Potter/Eragon or just scan the shelves on your own. Hope that helped [and hopefully you haven't died of boredum reading this. I tend to drag on, sorry about that!]

Anything by Dean Koontz would be great! I'M 14, and I would have to say that Odd Thomas, Forever Odd, and Brother Odd (a series by Dean Koontz) are the best books I've ever read. He uses great imagery alonge with humor and a thrilling plot. The genre is suspense/supernatural, and I really think that EVERYONE, not just people my age, should read these books.

All books by Jack Weyland (Charly, Emily, Nicole, Stephanie). They're a little mature but I loved them when I was in middle school. Also, If you haven't read them yet try, "Wait Til Helen Comes" and "The Doll in the Garden" by Mary Downing Hahn. They're ghost stories. She also wrote the series "Stepping on the Cracks", "Following My Own Footsteps", and "As Ever Gordy".

The Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz. Probably the best teen books I've ever read. Great! But make sure you read them in order.

I have answered this question so many times, I decided to dedicate a web site to answer this question. Here it is:
http://www.life-after-harry-potter.com
Included is a list of only the best sorcery fantasy books, grade reading level, a short review of each book, and a "reader's choice" list of favorite books.
I hope this helps.
