The world doesn't care. Are you going to put a sign on him saying DIVORCED? Be happy if you love each other. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Why do you want the world, society, community to accept your relationship and how does it matter?
The bottomline question is "Do you love her (him)?" If the answer is yes, go for it, if not try to find love. Do you want to live with her?
I am a Hindu and I did marry without the socities consent and after a period of time, they accepted it. I really didn't care whether they accepted it or not b'cos it is my life.
And Oh I am divorced now and it was not due to the world. It is a relationship, do not get bogged down by all the norms. Do what u feel like and you will be happy.

If you both agree and love each other you can go ahead with the marriage. Pure LOVE is the main object if you both accept each other it will surely work. There may be resistance form the relatives and parents of both of you. Just try to convince them and proceed. By this you will be giving an opportunity to a deprived person. -

"Perhaps so, but the church has high standards - if they allowed that, they would be de facto recognizing divorce. So by not allowing divorcees to get married in a Catholic church, they are trying to enhance the value of marriage for everyone!" What a load of crap. They just want control.

if you two are in love, I dont see the problem. 'divorced' is only a label, people love labels!!! You are the one who will marry this person, so does it bother you? Are you scared to be judged? Why? Ask youself some questions and you'll find out what it is in your heart.
Best of luck for you two!

Who cares what the world accepts. Do you accept this? Whatever answer you have is the only answer that counts.

The world will accept it -- however your family and friends may not. You need to ask them how they feel.
