Money orientated. No one cares about people and what our real needs are. It's all about making the big bucks. It's sad.

I would say America, at it's core, is still a great nation. However, there is a serious disconnect between the government and the people. The government is too secretive and the country is too divided. Our society has become too lazy and greedy. The news media has gone from reporting the facts to giving opinion and trying to keep us entertained so they can get higher ratings and more money. However, as Bill Clinton said during his 1992 inaugural address, "there is nothing wrong with America that cannot be fixed with what is right with America".

As for 2007, I'd say it has been a year of uncertainty (with the war, the economy, housing, gas prices) and argument.

A troubled country attempting to live off the fat of the capitalistic democracy, and expanding opportunity that is supposed to be paid for by tax dollars, but that instead is being loaned from the taxpayers to make the rich richer and the poor to become a consumer, sucking up the middle class wages til almost everyone is equal with basically nothing and no reason for capitalism.

Something is going to have to give to extend capitalism and unless it is for men to mine something special on Mars, or technology to provide something we can all use that will be nearly free we have ourselves a dilemna. Cause if government has to pay for everyone from tax revenue, from a dwindling middle class, where will the money come from? National Debt? And what happens after that?

Those who align with special social engines will probably do alright, but if you don't swear that the Christians are right, you are gonna be in a homeless shelter unless you are filthy rich and able to support yourself for the rest of your life already!

The social engines will find ways to keep money from government grants headed their way no matter what and since they don't pay taxes, it is a nice shelter. Rule is though, you have to be a hypocrit to belong fully, knowingly.

Else...it's off to the homeless shelters, where the elite know you belong. lol

Legislation can change this, but will it?

Healing be unto you and yours and me and mine

Despite all the problems this country has, it is still with out a doubt the best place to live in the world. To those who say they wouldn't live here because of all the problems with this country, should look at their own country. With the exception of maybe 2 or 3 countries (of which they are of very small population and land area, so they shouldn't even count). all countries have there problems, some even worse than our own. So before judging America, look at your own backyard, before judging !!!

Greedy, not so intelligent, and we don't focus on anything but "OMG LINDSAY LOHAN IS GOING TO JAIL FOR A DAY!" when there are people suffering all around this world. I am moving out of America someday, although it can be a good place to live because there are so many options. But we deffinetly have some issues we need to work out.

NOT TOO GOOD!! the legislature has done absolutely nothing in 10 years but argue party lines. the rights of the people are being whittled down everyday. doctors are getting to be like lawyers, all they want is the money. and bleeding heart liberals are so concerned with being politically correct, they are overlooking the rights of law-abiding citizens. i'm staying, though!

Annoying.
Too many people who want to argue about everything, and who passionately hate bush to a point where they are teetering along the edges of sanity.
I can understand not liking him, but seriously, people are too obsessed with him.

And everyone wants to "love, and love everyone" but they hate basically anyone who doesn't agree with the little details of their beliefs.

Lol we should move to the 70s ^ whoever said that
and I agree with stewpid -v-
