Is there a difference between gossipping and bitching?

I'm not sure there is a difference. Can anyone prove me wrong?!

Yeah there is. Bit@#hing is like when some one is com planing when there is no reason to complain. For example a person is sitting in a room and they blurt out is stinks in here, its really too hot,or it's so ugly in here. It's unnecessary

Gossiping is talking about someone or event most of them can also be lies just like bitching because it is easy to lie about someone to other people. For example: a girl says do you see her hair? I heard that she dyed it by getting pissed on by a horse.

So bitching is com planing and gossiping is selling lies for entertainment to people. I left you two links the first is the definition of bitoching the second is for gossiping

Bitching is usually a negative thing, and you don't have to do it behind a person's back, for example, my mother bitches at me about my room right to my face, thats not gossiping about me.

One can be bitching while gossiping though, like if my friend is bitching to me about what his friends are saying about his girlfriend, then he is both bitching and gossiping at once.

Gossiping isn't always negative, like you can gossip about how your neighbor down the street just had a baby. You can also gossip about how your friend hooked up with this guy, but not be complaining about it, just relaying the facts.

Gossiping is just talking behind someone's back and saying bad things about them
Bitching has many different forms:
Yes, there is the talking behind someone's back bitching
Then there is the complaining about stuff bitching
And then there is the bitching someone out by saying things straight to their face.

Bitching is, basically, venting about your day. It's how you feel about what happened to YOU when someone did this or that to YOU.

Gossiping is venting about someone else... especially when they are not present. It is often, usually, disparaging talk about another person, based on the gossiper's inability to control his or her own feelings.

I do believe there is a big difference... though not an easily explained difference.

People need to vent, to get things off their chest... to bounce ideas off another person and see how they can adjust to the situation better.

People don't NEED to gossip. If another person is causing strife, then the person who feels the strife needs to go to that other person and confront him or her and seek a resolution to the problem.

Venting good.
Gossiping bad.

Always seek to be the bigger person, and gossip won't have to be a problem, and venting (or bitching) will be productive and positive.

haha, to me gossiping is spreading rumors or just talking about people behind their back because its fun or for the purpose to hurt someone. You dont really want to get caught. Bitching about someone you dont really care if they hear or not and you arnt hoping other people will pass the information on. You're just complaining.
