What did you name your kids and did you have any special reasons for the names you picked?

Michael Jay
Contrary to Mike's thinking... I did NOT name him after Michael J. Fox!!
I wanted to be sure he had a name from 2 men who meant a great deal to me (almost 18 years ago!!)
Mike after our Youth Minister at the time who was a great inspiration to me in many ways! (What I haven't thought about him in a long time! I ought to "look him up"!) :)
Jay is the middle name of, his grandpa (my ex-father-in-law) who also was a great influence!!

I chose the prettiest name of Ireland for my heritage: Erin.
I chose the name of the archangel for my son: Michael.
Three years before the first child was born, I wrote a novel with those names for the hero and heroine. Then I branched off into sf/fantasy and people have commented it's good I had no more children.

Robert Percy
Robert = my older brother that died at age 23, super smart
Percy = wife's dad's father that died earliy at 40.
So that my child may take the luck they left behind and live longer

Sorry...too protective of my kids to tell their real names...but first one was named his name because ex-husband wanted it that way, second one was named after a relative of mine, third one was named for a Michael J. Fox character (lol), fourth one was a name I always liked plus middle name is my first name, and fifth was another name I liked plus ex-husband's middle name....phew!

Oldest child after his Dad, daughter after foster mother, youngest son after my husband's 2 best friends, one of whom has been deceased for about 10 years. Our adopted kids were older and kept their original names.

My first, Katrina Ashley, no special reason, just liked it. My second, Angelina Gemma, after her Grandma and great Grandma on Dads side.

My mom named me Catherine Anna
Catherine was my fathers favorite grandmothers name, and Anna was my moms mothers middle name =)
