i have a water well and now i have gotten ants in it. what causes this and what can i do about it?

i live out in the country and have a fresh water well. suddenly we have ants in our water supply.

Wow.... the only solution is to pour a thousand gallons of boiling water into the well. That kills ants. But then...you have dead ant juice for drinking.
