Unfortunately, yes. That would be the ideal ticket for the Democrats to run in 2008.
The Democratic party is not liberal, but centrist. Obama and Clinton are the ESSENCE of centrist politics. As long as they don't do something stupid in the next year, they will probably win the presidential election with Clinton as President and Obama as Vice.

I think an Obama/Clinton ticket might win in 2008! Even though I question if this nation is ready for a black candidate and/or a female candidate separately, I believe a black/female ticket could provide impetus from both minority voter segments combined. -RKO- 08/25/07

I believe Edwards/Obama would have a much better chance. With Hillary, we have another close one. And Hillary is quite conservative(was a Goldwater republican) like Bill-and you saw what the GOP does with a conservative Dem.
Edwards polls much better against all Republicans.

No, Hillary has too high negative numbers. She would drag the ticket down. Obama might win though. People still remember Bill Clinton's presidency and remember that the planning for 9/11 took place on his watch and that the World Trade Center was bombed first when he was in office.
