The oven will not turn on or heat up at all. However, the top burners work just fine, as normal. What could be the issue? I've never seen this happen before.

If the electronic ignition is not working, it could be a minor problem, but because this is a gas stove, DO NOT take any chances. Call the local Gas company and ask about what they charge to come out and give you a quote. Then have a professional fix it. Better to be safe than sorry.

Ok 'newbie'...what's the real story here? Where's C? Or, are ya just messin' w/ us. Hate to blow your cover...but something appears to be amiss in Val-land... Answer: Two ways of looking at this Q. 1) you want to scare off your room-mate, and 2) you're nuts enough to do the clean up and may have a potential fire in the kitchen...while this 'room-mate' person runs down the hallway screaming "FIRE!!!! EVERYBODY OUT!!!! CALL 911!!!" Advice: Have an extinguisher handy... At times, more often lately Val, you worry me. I mean...what about A & B? Are they w/ your mom or something? Just curious.

Probably the electricity turned off. Try putting some gas in there then light it. Use a long match.

fuse or igniter is bad. you can still ignite oven(cautiously) with a hand held candle lighter.
