Personally, when someone sends me an e-mail I feel the need to respond in a timely manner. I have a couple of friends, however, who never respond to my e-mails. Am I doing something wrong? Or should I get new friends? :-)

I forgot to mention that they are constantly on the computer. And they live too far away to talk to face-to-face.

You women! Guys just blow it off. You gals take it personally. Hey, just like staying in touch on the phone.....it rings on both ends ! Like I said, guys just ignore it.

I will continue corresponding with someone on a one for one basis. If they do not reply to my last post I will stop right there..Like you I feel a need to respond timely and if someone does not reciprocate I write them off. Obviously stems from personality conflict or something in that vein. I believe that if someone enjoys your mails they will seek you out amongst their other fans or whatever and get back to you soonest even if it is just to say that they will get back to you at a more opportune time. Keeps the lines of communication open.

Talk to them or call them. Some people just do not like e-mail and will not respond in a timely manner.

There are two types of people. E-mail types and non-email types. Non-email types may respond or may not respond. They just are not interested in e-mail like e-mail types are.

I have several friends and acquaintances who do not respond to e-mails and have told me that e-mail is a low priority for them. The rest are like you and I who read our e-mails everyday and feel obligated to respond as quickly as possible.

It is not that your friends are ignoring you, it is just that e-mail is not their preferred method of communication.

Hope that helps and good luck. Remember, friends are a valuable part of life and we need to always work to maintain that friendship.

Does your friend have a social networking page they frequently check?

I know that for me, I get really caught up in work and don't always respond to emails. It doesn't mean I'm mad at my friend or something. Sometimes I just need a message on facebook or something to let me know someone is trying to reach me.

It is polite to answer/respond to an e-mail but not everyone does and we don't all spend large amounts of time on our pc. Is it a biggie? Why don't you call them instead? I don't think getting new friends will solve your question, do you?

if they dont respond then call them on the phone or talk to them face to face.unanswered emails are no reason to drop a good friend.but if they are avoiding you, then somethings up.

Maybe emailing just isn't there thing. Call them up or go see them and ask why they haven't responded.

I think I would stop writing after the 2nd or 3rd email.... If they don't think that your emails are worth answering, why wasting your time?

Get new friends!

Send them one final email. In it, use the word "goodbye."
